What the WhatsApp link generator does

A WhatsApp link (also called a wa.me link or click-to-chat link) opens a conversation with a specific number the moment someone taps it. No saving a contact, no typing a number, no wondering whether the message reached the right person. This tool builds that link for you. Pick your country code, enter your number, write the message you want customers to start with, and you get a clean wa.me link, an HTML button you can paste into any website, and a QR code for print.

Everything runs in your browser. Your number and message are only sent to our server to render the QR image, and nothing is stored.

How to use it

  1. Choose your country code from the list. The default is +1.
  2. Type your phone number without the country code. Leading zeros, spaces, brackets and dashes are removed for you.
  3. Write an optional pre-filled message, for example "Hi, I would like a quote for..." so customers do not have to think about how to start.
  4. Click Generate link, then copy the link, copy the HTML button, or download the QR code.
  5. Open the link on your own phone once to confirm it lands in the right chat.

Why a click-to-chat link matters

Every extra step between a visitor and a conversation costs you leads. A tap-to-chat link removes all of them. Put it behind a button on your website, in your Instagram bio, in email signatures, on invoices and on printed material. The pre-filled message does two jobs: it lowers the effort for the customer and it tells you which channel they came from, so you can write a different opener for each placement.

Frequently asked questions

What format does the phone number need to be in?
WhatsApp expects the full international number with no plus sign, spaces or leading zeros. The tool handles that for you: choose the country code, type the local number and the link is built in the correct format.
Does the pre-filled message get sent automatically?
No. The message appears in the chat box ready to go, but the person still has to press send. That keeps the conversation opt-in and avoids accidental messages.
Will the link work on desktop as well as mobile?
Yes. On a phone it opens the WhatsApp app. On a computer it opens WhatsApp Web or the desktop app if it is installed, and otherwise prompts the visitor to use one of them.
Can I use this with WhatsApp Business?
Absolutely. The link format is the same for personal and Business accounts. Business accounts get extra features such as catalogs, labels and automated greetings that work well with click-to-chat links.
Is my number stored anywhere?
No. The link and button are built in your browser. The only server request is the one that renders the QR image, and that request is not logged with your number.
