Tech Stack Advisor
Choose your project type, budget band, expected traffic, timeline, team and key features to get a recommended technology stack with honest pros and cons, a hosting suggestion and a runner-up option.
Talk to an engineer about this stack
We build on every stack recommended here. Share your details and an engineer will sanity-check the choice against your real requirements.
What the tech stack advisor does
WordPress or Laravel? Next.js or a mobile framework? An off-the-shelf ERP or a custom system? These choices shape cost, speed to launch and how easy the product is to maintain for years. The advisor asks six questions about your project type, budget band, expected users, timeline, in-house team and key features, then recommends one of five proven stacks: WordPress with WooCommerce, Laravel with Vue, Next.js with Node, Flutter with a Laravel API, or Odoo.
For the recommended stack you get a plain explanation of why it fits, its strengths, its trade-offs, a suggested hosting setup and the closest alternative. The goal is not to sell you the fanciest technology but the one you will still be happy with after launch.
How to use it
- Pick the project type that best matches the outcome you need. If you are unsure, take the what should I build quiz first.
- Set your budget band and expected monthly users honestly. Overestimating traffic pushes you toward heavier stacks you may not need.
- Choose your timeline and describe your in-house technical capacity.
- Tick the features that truly matter, then click Recommend a stack and read the pros, cons and alternative.
Change one answer at a time to see how the recommendation moves. Adding real-time updates or native mobile, or removing your in-house team, often flips the result, which tells you which requirements are really driving the decision.
Why it matters
The most common stack mistakes are choosing a custom framework for a site that only needs a content editor, and choosing a plugin-based platform for a product whose logic is the business itself. The first wastes budget and locks you into developer dependence. The second hits a wall as soon as you need roles, workflows and integrations that no plugin covers.
Hosting follows from the stack. A WordPress site is at home on managed web hosting, while application stacks and ERPs want a VPS with dedicated resources. We build on every stack listed here, so the recommendation is what we would honestly suggest on a first call, whether that leads to a website, an app or a management system.
- Five battle-tested stacks, one clear recommendation.
- Honest trade-offs, not just selling points.
- Hosting and service links so you know the next step.
